Juicy Detailing vs Arden Astra VXR

A well know member off Astra Owners Network recently purchased a new Astra VXR and I offered my services to give her car a good going over before she attend Performance Vauxhall Show.

Its an ex-demo car so not been treated the best and this young lady has not cleaned it either in her last 5 weeks of ownership....naughty naughty girl.

So here are the befores.....













Some nice swirls on the bonnet

Getting started...nice rinse off and Chemical Guys Redberry on the wheels





Snow foam....and rinsed







Washed using 2bm and Dodo Juice Supernatural Shampoo





Next stages the car was clayed using a Juicy medium clay bar and Chemical Guys Clay Lube





The car was washed again with Supernatural and patted dry using a Miracle Dryer...



Full inspection time before polishing (swirl and scratch heaven )













Taping Up





Using a DAS-6 I used a Green Hex Logic Pad with 3m Fast Cut Plus




Results after 3m so far...



Second stage went all over the car again with another Green Hex Pad using Chemical Guys 778



Wheels were removed (still had loads of transport wax attached) and cleaned...using more Redberry; clayed and had 3 coats of Chemical Guys Jetseal

Once the machine polishing stages had been completed and wheels finished the car was washed again and dried.

I then applied one coat of Chemical Guys EZ Creme and 2 coats of Chemical Guys Jet seal leaving 20 minutes between each application and buffing off. Products applied in line with the panels.









Final stage - Chemical Guys E-Zyme Wax was applied and left to cure for an hour





Finishing touches were glass cleaned with Chemcial Guys Pro-Detailer. Tyres, vinyl, and rubbers treated with Chemical Guys Trim Gel and metal and crome polished. Plus engine bay cleaned and new plates added and it was previously debadged. So here's the bit you've all been waiting for the end result and reflection shots:



































Water Test

It was raining when I finished so I thought that seeing it was going to get wet back on its way home down south why not do a little water test
